Telegram

dopost publishes to Telegram channels and groups, not personal profiles or private conversations.

You can publish text, photos, videos and albums containing both photos and videos.

Connect a Telegram channel or group

  1. Select Connections from the sidebar.

  2. Select New Connection and choose Telegram.

  3. Select Continue with @… to open the dopost bot.

  4. In the private conversation with the bot, press Start.

  5. Choose the channel or group you want to connect.

  6. Approve the requested publishing permissions.

  7. Return to dopost and wait for the connection confirmation.

The connection request expires after 10 minutes. If it expires, select Start again to create a new request.

You must have permission to add the bot and grant the access needed to publish in the selected channel or group.

Publish to Telegram

  1. Open Create Post.

  2. Select the connected Telegram channel or group.

  3. Write your message.

  4. Add media if needed.

  5. Choose Publish Now, schedule the post or save it as a draft.

A publication must contain text or at least one media item.

Adding media changes the text limit from 4,096 to 1,024 characters.

Publish an album

Add between 2 and 10 photos or videos to create an album.

You can mix photos and videos. Each file must meet its own size and format requirements.

dopost sends the selected files as one album with a shared caption.

Pin after publishing

Enable Pin after publishing in the Telegram post settings to pin the published message.

The bot must have the required pinning permissions. For an album, dopost pins its first message.

Keep the connection working

The dopost bot must remain in the channel or group and retain its publishing permissions.

If access is removed, restore the required permissions in Telegram. If dopost asks you to reconnect, repeat the connection process from Connections.

Having trouble?

  • The connection request expired: select Start again.

  • The channel or group cannot be selected: check your Telegram permissions and whether you can add the bot.

  • Publishing is rejected: check the bot’s access, media limits and caption length.

  • Pinning fails: check the bot’s pinning permissions and whether the message was published before retrying.

  • A caption is too long after adding media: shorten it to 1,024 characters or publish a text-only message.
