Social Connection Link
Send a client a link so they can connect their social accounts to your workspace without creating a dopost account.
The client signs in with the social platform and chooses which accounts to connect.
Before you start
Social connection links are available on Pro and Agency plans.
Only workspace Owners and Admins can create or revoke links.
Your workspace must have room for the accounts being connected.
Each link is valid for 48 hours.
Create a link
Select the workspace where you want to add the client’s accounts.
Select Connections from the sidebar.
Select Client link.
Select Create link.
Copy the link and send it to your client.
Copy the link before closing the dialog. For security, dopost cannot display the same link again after you leave it.
What your client needs to do
Open the link.
Choose a social platform.
Follow its connection instructions and approve the requested permissions.
Select the accounts or Pages to connect when prompted.
Repeat for any additional accounts.
Connected accounts are added to the workspace that created the link. Your client does not need a dopost account or a workspace invitation.
What the client can access
The link only allows the client to connect social accounts.
It does not let them view your workspace’s existing connections, posts, members or billing information.
Generate a new link
Open Connections → Client link.
Select Generate new link.
Copy and send the new link.
Generating a new link invalidates the previous one. Accounts already connected remain connected.
Use this option if you lost the original link or need another 48-hour connection window.
Revoke a link
Open Connections → Client link.
Select Revoke link.
The link stops working. Revoking it does not disconnect accounts that were already added.
Having trouble?
The link expired or was revoked: ask the workspace Owner or Admin for a new one.
The connection limit was reached: free up an account slot or increase the plan’s allowance.
The link cannot be displayed again: select Generate new link and share the replacement.
A Page or account is missing: check that the client’s social login has permission to manage it and that the required permissions were granted.
Client link is unavailable: check your plan and workspace role.
