dopost offers two connection methods:

Meta Business Manager can connect Instagram accounts associated with your Meta business profile and supports the fullest set of publishing options.
Instagram Direct connects one Instagram account without selecting it through Facebook. It requires an Instagram Business account and does not support user tags, collaborators, or location tagging.

Personal and Creator accounts cannot be connected through Instagram Direct.

Important API Limitations

Note: The following features are only available when posting directly through the Instagram app and are not supported via the Instagram API:

Product Tags - Tagging products in posts
Location Tags - Adding location/place information
User Tags - Tagging other users in photos
Stickers & GIFs - Adding interactive stickers, GIFs, or emoji sliders
Filters & Effects - Applying Instagram filters or AR effects
Music - Adding music to Reels or Stories
Polls & Questions - Interactive story elements
Countdown Stickers - Story countdown timers
Link Stickers - Swipe-up or link stickers (Stories)

These features must be added manually within the Instagram app after scheduling or posting through third-party tools.

Reconnect Instagram accounts

Reconnect an account when dopost shows Expired, Reconnect required, or asks you to renew its permissions.

Accounts connected through Meta Business Manager

Select Connections from the sidebar.
Find one of the affected Instagram accounts and select Reconnect.
Sign in with the same Facebook profile you originally authorized.
Select the accounts in Meta’s authorization screen and approve all requested permissions.
Return to dopost.

dopost refreshes the and Instagram accounts in the current workspace that are available to that Facebook profile. You do not need to reconnect each matching account separately.

Only accounts connected through the same Facebook login are refreshed together. Accounts connected using another Facebook profile are unchanged and must be reconnected using that profile.

Accounts connected through Instagram Direct

Instagram Direct uses the Instagram account’s own login instead of a Facebook login. Reconnecting it refreshes that Instagram account only. It does not refresh accounts connected through Meta Business Manager or another Instagram login.
